Monthly sales for the Lexus RZ 450e should be around 439 in North America, 584 in Europe and 1,500 in China. So allocations for the RZ won't be easy to come by in the first model year which will lead to insane dealer markups!

Will have to see. My dealership in Norcal honored no mark up when I purchased the NX 450h+. There is a decent chance I will walk away if they mark up, in the end it's not like I'm super eager to get this car this year. Although I need to admit the federal $7,500 incentive phasing out might play a role.

Currently on a waitlist at a dealer who indicates no add-up above MSRP. But the small refundable deposit doesn't come close to revealing any terms & conditions. So, anything is possible. Dealers are still slimy, even Lexus ones.
I tell ya, with about 220 U.S. dealers and production at under 600 a month, it's gonna be a long wait. I really wanted the yoke too. After Sept, or end of year depending where you read it, the $7500 gets cut in half.
My gut says it'll easily be mid to late 2023 before I pull the trigger on one I can be happy with for 10+ years. Too bad Teslas are built like shit and look like shit and led by a narcissistic class 420 clown. (Ooppps, did I say that?) Otherwise the tech & battery/motor are pretty solid.

Jeez, Folsom lake Toyota just gave me a heads up on a Bz4x. MRSP on a limited all wheel $51k. Dealer mark up of $9995 puts it at $61k. Responded that I didn't bend over for dealer mark ups. Jeez of course the steelers will bend people over while they can. Hope the absence of a service dept 15 years from now puts most out of business.
can you please name the dealer? I am looking for NX 350H in the bay area and dealers are asking for a markup

P.S. When Subaru launched, they let people pay a deposit through the site for a day

Called around. There are a few who "promise" NO mark up. But when the rubber hits the road anything is possible. Our local dealers (both owned by the same entity) Sacramento Lexus & Roseville Lexus have gross mark ups now on current inventory. I visited them the other day. Shared my appreciation to them for exploiting the scarcity of inventory. Fuck you how well you say your service is in trying to get my car in to service it. Do I blame them? Tough one. It's capitalism. But don't play how great your service and dealer integrity is while trying to finger my ass at the same time. There, I feel better now.
All I will say is call around. Even well outside of your area including outside California. A local Toyota stealer is adding $9995 to a BZ I asked about. Yup $61k before T & R. While calling a few toyota dealers outside CA no mark up. $500 refundable deposit. California dealers on many things are just a complete rip off. If you don't want to put in the work you pay handsomely. Just start calling around. It's not too hard to find out who the big dealers in CA and nearby are.

Apparently, mark-ups in Canada are actually legal, as long as the overcharge is advertised. But Canadians are not very sympathetic to these sales practices, and any dealership that does that will damage its reputation.

There are 57 dealerships in Canada, very unlikely that any location will get more than 1 car a month...Crazy huh?! That means 1 per dealer on average, and some dealers get 2
