Hope you both are doing well. I've discussed with my local dealer in the early hours today and I am second in line on their preorder list. I'll be either dropping by later today (if time permits) or tomorrow to give my 500$ deposit. I was told early 2023 for current deliveries.
This will be my first EV. I have limited experience with EVs myself having driven only the Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S during a special invite only Porsche event (I've owned several Porsches and currently own a 996 Turbo for my summer car - the daily is a VW Tiguan right now). Let's just say that the Taycan made me an EV enthusiast.
Concerning runner ups, my better half and I have considered the Polestar 2, VW iD.4, Ioniq 5 and now the RZ. We've put a deposit on the Ioniq 5 in January and the delivery estimate has been December 2022 until last week, where we were informed that it got pushed back to the second half of 2023!
Things that excite me about the RZ is Lexus quality and attention to detail, resale value and faster delivery times (compared to our Ioniq 5 order). The dealer said they would contact me once colours and packages become available to make our selection. I would expect pricing to be released then too. Exciting times for sure!!
I used to live in the west coast (Nelson Vancouver Island) but recently I've been moving first to Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario) and the to Saint John (New Brunswick).I've been lucky bc I work in the distance education in this math 8 tutor website, that's why I've been able to relocate several times this year. Personally, although it's been a big change of environment and to what I'm used to, east Canada is way affordable and much much less mountains.
