Comparing with Ariya, the battery is much smaller (Ariya US has 87 kWh). This almost directly results in the range difference; 265 versus 225 miles (assuming the smaller wheel size is chosen). However the smaller battery has the benefit of being lighter. Ariya AWD should be around 5,000 and RZ around 4,500 lbs, so about a 10% difference. As for AWD, Ariya is calling their technology e-4orce and Lexus calls it DIRECT4. I am very interested to see how they compare. If they are both "good enough" I will be happy, but if one is much better than another, I will be really interested. Hopefully there will be some YouTube reviews comparing the two.

Slight correction for the U.S. versions. Only the 2wd version of the bZ4X and none of the Solterras get the 71.4 kWh Panasonic battery. The AWD bZ4X and all of the Solterras get the 72.8 kWh CATL battery.
